Belated Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi everyone,

Hope the month of February has been good to you all...

Just want to update everyone with Ava as she hit 5 months on February 13th! She was able to celebrate her Dad's birthday for the first time! She also got to celebrate her first Valentine's Day with everyone!

She is getting bigger and bigger everyday...her 3-6 month clothes are getting really tight on her!

Here's a rundown of what she has developed up to this date.
Ava's Milestones @ 5 months old!
-Pull herself to sit up!
-Jumps around in her bouncer!
-Sings herself to sleep
-Can follow directions in her bouncer like "Stand up/Sit Down"
-Learning to explore with her hands (touch faces/grab noses/etc)
-She likes to slow dance with her Mom and Dad

Chuc Mung Nam Moi!

That is Happy New Year in Vietnamese...about all the Vietnamese I can speak other than Pho'.

I know you must be asking yourself - two posts in one day? Well, that is what happens when you get afflicted with the most horrible stomach virus .....you get two posts from Lincoln.

As I lie here wondering when my stomach is going to be acting normal again - I will bring to you an almost current situation of KatLinkAva.blogspot.com.

A lot has happened since ..we have a new president in office who is already making changes in the way people think...the recession still is looming over everyone's head...Kanye West is still my favorite regardless if he thinks he can sing...and Ava is 4 months old as of January 13th!

Ava weighed in at 13 lbs 9 oz and measured 23 1/2 inches in her last visit. Oh, and watching your baby daughter get 4 immunization shots, when she is happily sleeping has hit the top of my list as worst thing to sit through.

Other Ava milestones in her fourth month...
-Ava can hold her head up really well now sitting up or being held!
-Ava talks and sings a lot ... no actual words but she is talking/singing!!
-She loves to laugh...and she snorts when she is laughing really hard! Very charming...
-She is now sleeping in her crib in her room...very sad for Mom & Dad.
-She just started eating rice cereal...while sitting in her brand new high chair (courtesy of her Auntie Kay!)
-She likes to watch Backyardigans and America's Best Dance Crew...

A Late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Yes, I know my updating of this blog is very erratic - I apologize. I can make all the excuses I want with work, getting sick, NFL playoffs, and Christmas Shopping - but I know I can do better than this!

Thanks for your patience and here's an update to Ava from 3 months - December 13th thru January 12th!
-Ava is learning to lift her head up as she does her tummy time!
-Her favorite song is "Single Ladies" by Beyonce' to which she loves to dance to!
-She is getting very curious to the large device in our living room which we call the TV. "uh-oh".
-The bassinet in our room is getting to be too small for her as her head and feet are almost touching both ends.
-She has begun to sleep through the night!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Kat and I are very thankful for the addition of our baby girl to begin our family! We are also very thankful for our family and friends to which we can count as the keys to our happiness, health, and well being! Happy Holidays and have fun shopping!

It's Been A Long Time....

Sorry for the delay - it's been awhile since I last posted! It's been difficult since I went back to work at the beginning of November to keep up with everything... Anyhow, here are some pics from Ava's first Pumpkin Carving/Halloween/Leading up to her turning 2 months on 10/13! I will try to be a little more consistent with the postings - hope you enjoy the updates!

Halloween @ Santana Row - 10.28

My mom's birthday is next week and we wanted to take my mom out for brunch before I have to head back to work (very sad to see me type that). We decided to take her to eat at Santana Row which coincidentally was also holding their "Mommy and Me: Halloween Trick or Treat Fest!". Ava got dressed up in her kitty kat outfit (Kat and mini-kat) to go get some free loot so her dad can eat it. Kat's parents also came along...so it was a grandparent love-fest at Santana Row! Here are some pics from the festivities...
